    What Would Get Me to Switch to Android?

    I bet a lot of people feel like I do. The biggest thing keeping me from going to Android is the amount of money I have put into iPhone apps. It's not a large sum, probably $150-$200, and a lot I don't even use anymore, yet abandoning the platform entirely seems so wasteful because I'd basically be throwing it away and then have to pay again!
    Carriers always throw in bonuses like discounts on phones, a free case, etc.

    What would get me to switch is a program where you bring in your iPhone with all your apps, they tally up what it would cost to replace them in the Android Market place and give you a gift certificate for the Marketplace. I'd bet that at $200 I'm an outlier and most people have less than $50 in apps. Some will have more than me, but that would be a minority.

    It seems trivial considering what $200 is compared to the total cost of ownership for a phone but it's the biggest hurdle stopping me.
