I took a recovery day today, and had a 32 mile ride to my old flying field in homestead. I made sure to keep my heart rate in zone 2 the entire time and was nice and relaxed. It was a bit harder on the way back because the wind kicked up HARD and in order to keep my heart rate in the right place I was crawling along at 11 mph. That made for a loooooong ride. Today was my version of Christmas, and the nice mail lady was Santa. She dropped of the my new saddle, the Garmin, some tubes, and a fork/skewer mount thing to attach the bike to the floor of my car. Being the gadget geek that I am, I haven’t been able to put down the Garmin Edge 305 since it got here, after using this, I don’t even know why I wasted time on the Forerunner 50.
