My Name is Yaniel and I Suffer From Hobby Acquisition Disorder
Normally I would say it's rained out, but this is almost frightening. I'd be back in bed but I already had breakfast and caffeine and I'm pretty freakin wired. The best part is the magic 8 ball Weather.com uses to predict the weather. It said clear skies and 20% chance of rain 30 minutes ago. Now it's telling me that my area is under a flood advisory? seriously? Anyway, I've been demoing a Selle SMP Lite 209 saddle, it's a whole new level of comfortable compared to the Fizik ass hachets I was testing before. ...

A while back I bought a Toupe Team 143 and loved it. Then my rides got longer and the love affair ended. I recently bought an Aliante, and for a few short rides it was great but now I tried it on a longer ride and it sucks, possibly worse than the Toupe. The Toupe hurt the sit bones, the Aliante BURNS. Unfortunately, I really like the Fizik ICS system, so I'm going to try out the Antares and Arione next. If neither of those work for me, then I'll be doing what I've wanted since the beginning and trying out the...
Warning... this will be a long one. Today was the big day, after having my bike exactly how I wanted it, I was able to go in with for a fitting. The Retül system is what I consider one of the better...
So I’m becoming very bad about this... On March 28th I completed my first century and it sucked. I always thought 6 hours on the bike would be fun but man it SUCKED. Maybe it’s because I suck...
Just a quick follow up to my previous about my encounter with Miami Springs PD . I was out on the Lario's ride this morning and during the warm up I hear two of the guys behind me talking about riding in Miami Springs. He mentions how he's been stopped on a 2 lane divided road (2 lanes in each direction) for obstructing traffic when there hasn't been a car around and even if there was, it would've had another lane. He's completely in the right, just as we were in our original situation. I described the officer...
I went out for a ride this morning with Alex to Key Biscayne but when we get to the second bridge, the police has the road closed. I wondered to myself if it could be a cyclist that was hit since Sunday mornings are always loaded with cyclists on the Key, but i try to push thoughts like that out of my head so we turned back and continued riding to Dowtown and Little Havana and such. When i get home I do a quick search on twitter to find out why it was closed and like I originally thought, and hoped wasn't true, a...
Oh lovely Standard Time... How I hate thee, let me count the ways. Nothing like starting a ride with the sun already falling behind the horizon and 10 minutes into it, being in the dark. I guess thats what I have to deal with now, so I shall. It caught me off guard yesterday, after being stuck in bed with a fever for almost 4 days, I was itching to get on the bike. So around 4 I jump on the bike for a quick ride with no actual destination. Half way in I decide to take a break and just hang out for a bit since...
The first group ride I'd say was a great success. No flats, no crashes and best of all, we didn't get dropped. We were expecting a huge turn out but the main organizer was recently injured in a crash so the group has been getting smaller. Including us we had I think 8 riders and picked up a guy in a single speed Felt along the way. That guy was a pretty strong rider, and I loved the looks of his bike. The ride was with Bird Road Cycle World, and they were a nice group of people. The ride started off with an easy...
